Everything is Temporary
Remembering that nothing lasts forever helps during tribulations because you know there’s an end to it and it helps during triumphs so you can let yourself soak it in fully while it lasts.
On Progress & Growth
Not every progress will feel life-changing, but over time, it will change your life. Moving from self-judgment towards self-love can look differently for different people. It often starts with more acceptance and creating small shifts.
Receiving Abundance
We receive what we feel worthy of receiving.
If our whole life was based on a premise that we can receive only what we work hard for, we will resist abundance in other forms.
Future Self
The Future Self concept was life changing for me, way before I even knew there was a name for it.
During the darkest times in my life, in my mind’s eye, I could clearly see a version of myself that was very different. That vision kept me going, striving, and not settling. Now I know that I was guided by my Future Self.
True Self vs Conditioned Self
In moments of clarity, presence, and empowerment, we remember that we want more for ourselves. We don’t force this, it arises naturally. In those moments, we feel connected to a deep self-determination and desire to move forward. We become free from the limitations of our past, even if just for a moment.
Daily Reminder
If you believe others have that power, then you are the one limiting your choices. No one has the power to stop you from creating the life you want. No one can stop you but yourself. When you defeat yourself because of what others might think, it is not them, but you who is stopping you. It is you who is making other people’s opinions a priority over your own.
On Skipping Life Lessons
If you’re forcing and pressuring, instead of being in the flow and ease, maybe it’s not meant to happen at this time or in the way you imagined it happening.
Not Knowing How
It’s not necessary to know everything before getting started. In fact, it is impossible to know everything, Wanting to know exactly how we are going to do something is one of those things we tend to use against ourselves.
Benefits of Journaling
One of the best ways to start the day is by journaling. It's a form of reflective and grounding practice that connects you deeper to the truth of who you are. But for many who struggle with overwhelm, stress, and worry, taking the time to slow down and journal feels difficult.
Let People Be Who They Are
When we believe other people have the power to makes us feel a certain way, it’s not because they actually have the power to makes us feel a certain way. It’s because we hand them over that power and make them in charge of our emotional world.
“I’m not good at it” vs. “I’m willing to try”
When we say we are not good at something, we close the door to trying and learning. Usually when we say things like that, we don’t think too much about it. We consider these narratives to be facts. It seems that we are simply sharing the truth of who we are (It is a fact I’m not good at it.)
But is it really a fact?
Austin Business Woman Interview
My name is Sladja Redner, and I am a psychotherapist and a personal growth coach. Growing up I always felt like an old soul and was deeply moved and inspired by stories of people who overcame adversities and not just found themselves on the other side but were able to completely transform and achieve extraordinary things.
Believing in Yourself
It is our responsibility to believe in ourselves.
Sometimes others see a potential in us that we struggle to see.
We may see ourselves through the filters of our failures, judgments, and mistakes, but others may see our strength, resilience, and determination.
Negative Thoughts
Negative thoughts are not a problem unless we believe them.
On their own, they are powerless, unsubstantiated negative opinions and imaginations.
They gain their power when we give them power. When we hold onto them, collect evidence for them, entertain them, and identify with them.
Excuses, Excuses
When it becomes difficult, or boring, or challenging, you might notice the urge to negotiate, to give up, or give in...
You might want to convince yourself out of your long-term vision, because of temporary struggles.
Daily Reminder About Uncertainty
It's true. When we move forward in life, every new step is unknown and messy. The path in front of us is fraught with uncertainty. But if you can learn how to be grounded within yourself when you're in the midst of the unknown, you can achieve anything.
Following Excitement...
Follow your curiosity, excitement, and pleasure without putting pressure on it to lead somewhere.
Thinking too much of where it might take you and how it will turn out is a waste of energy you could have used to do the damn thing.
