“He who looks at himself, risks to meet himself. This is the first test of courage on the inner path, a test, which is enough to frighten most people, because the encounter with oneself belongs to those unpleasant things, one avoids as long as one can project the negative onto the environment.”
~ Carl Jung
INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

My psychotherapy approach is depth-oriented and rooted in self-inquiry, curiosity, and the human potential.
Individuals who are the best fit with my approach are those interested in a deeper exploration of who they are and those wanting to shift their disempowering patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
My intention is to create a therapeutic environment that will bring forth a deeper connection to yourself and help you relate to yourself in a curious, compassionate way, leading towards higher self-awareness, authentic choices, and personal freedom.
The foundation of my work comes the NARM model, which is a cutting-edge model addressing attachment, relational, & developmental trauma. NARM works directly with attachment patterns of disconnection that deeply affect our identity, emotions, physiology, behavior, & relationships.
In addition, I utilize a combination of the following theoretical approaches: existential, Jungian, and psychodynamic.
While being listened to and utilizing coping skills may temporarily provide relief from your symptoms, they don't facilitate an understanding of oneself in a way that leads to deeper change.
No matter what kind of circumstances you've been through, I trust that you can shed patterns that create suffering and choose experiences that support you.
I look forward to supporting you in your self-discovery and growth beyond your current circumstances.

SPECIALTIES

My specialities are: healing from developmental trauma and personal growth coaching.
In other words, I help people disengage from survival patterns (that were once helpful, but now get in a way of living a joyful, fulfilling life) and move towards higher personal growth and actualizing one's potential.
Many of the issues I work with tend to be rooted in difficult childhood experiences, such as childhood emotional neglect & developmental trauma.
Developmental Trauma does not only refer to one time, traumatic event, but it also includes: rejection, constant criticism, invalidation, rarely feeling understood, important, and valued, or experiencing family dynamics in which you felt more like a parent than a child.
People often navigate adulthood through the lens of the difficult, invalidating, and abusive experiences long after these events took place. These negative experiences create deep seated beliefs rooted in shame, self-rejection, and self-hatred - which become a part of our identity.

Through these experiences you learn ways of disconnecting from your true self and from your needs, dim your light, abandon yourself, and learn who you need to become in order to be accepted and loved.
Later in life, this disconnection resurfaces in some of the following ways:
